Terms of Service & Charter Contract
Legally binding maritime charter agreements, safety regulations, age requirements, and gaming governance for voyages in Australian and international waters.
Official Document Record
1. Agreement & Charter Scope
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding maritime agreement between Map & Sail Maritime Events Pty Ltd ("the Company", "we", "us") and the primary charter client, tournament entrant, or passenger ("the Client", "Guest"). By confirming a vessel booking, signing a charter charter party contract, or boarding any Map & Sail vessel at Cairns, Sydney, or Brisbane marine terminals, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.
2. Age 18+ Verification & Passenger Manifest
In accordance with federal maritime standards and international gaming licence conditions, all passengers boarding vessels with active gaming salons must be at least 18 years of age at the time of embarkation. Official government-issued photo identification (passport, Australian driver licence, or national identity card) is mandatory at the terminal gate. The Master of the Vessel reserves the absolute right to deny boarding without refund to any individual failing age or manifest verification.
3. Offshore Gaming Jurisdiction & Neutral Waters Activation
All live gaming tables, electronic slot machines, and cage cash operations remain locked and inoperable while the vessel is in territorial waters, internal Australian waterways, or within 12 nautical miles of the coastline baseline. In strict compliance with UNCLOS international conventions and Offshore Maritime Gaming Licence MGL-7193-48206, gaming activities activate solely upon automated GPS satellite confirmation that the vessel has crossed into international neutral waters.
4. Master of the Vessel Authority & Safety Compliance
Under the Navigation Act 2012 (Cth) and AMSA Class 1B survey regulations, the Master (Captain) of the Vessel retains supreme operational command regarding navigation routes, anchoring coordinates, speed, and passenger safety. If tropical weather systems, sea state advisories, or medical emergencies necessitate route alterations or shelter in Great Barrier Reef lagoons, the Captain's decision is final and binding.
5. Cage Banking, Table Credit & Chip Redemption
All gaming chips issued by the Map & Sail cage are proprietary instruments valid solely aboard the issuing vessel for the duration of the scheduled charter voyage. Table credit pre-funding, chip purchases, and final settlements are processed through verified banking channels, cashier drafts, or approved cryptocurrency escrows (BTC, USDT). Unredeemed chips must be presented to the cage for settlement prior to terminal disembarkation.
6. Governing Law & Arbitration
This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia and applicable international maritime conventions. Any unresolved dispute arising under this charter contract shall be submitted to confidential maritime arbitration in Brisbane or Cairns under the rules of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA).
